Opening Reception for Big Canoe Photography and Art Exhibit & Artist in Residence Robert Choe -Henderson~ The Art Center
January

5 - 7:30pm
Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association "The Art Center"
Make plans now to join us at The Art Center for an opening reception for 2 new exhibitions on Saturday, January 11th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
In the Richard Low Evans Gallery, help celebrate our first show of the new year, the Big Canoe Photography & Art Club Exhibition! The exhibit showcases a variety of genres from talented artists living in the Big Canoe community.
In the John & Evelyn Branch Gallery, we present Resident Artist Robert Choe-Henderson, a Korean American artist and educator inspired by the resiliency of the Asian diaspora casting across fine arts, craft, and book cultures. Spending most of his childhood surrounded by practitioners of traditional Korean papercrafts, his adaptations to hanji (Korean handmade paper) and jiseung (indigenous paper weaving) are profound in his sculptural artist's books and woven structures.
The Opening Reception is free and open to the public and features light hors d'oeuvres, a wine bar, beautiful artwork, and more!
We're located at 420 West Main Street in beautiful downtown Blue Ridge, GA. Bring friends and enjoy the evening, we hope to see you there!
Robert Choe-Henderson's Exhibit runs through February 15th and the Big Canoe Exhibit runs through February 22nd.
Open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Closed on Mondays.
